JA Albania’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
JA Albania promotes this mission by developing its programs in seven key content areas: business, citizenship, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics/character, financial literacy, and work-related life skills/career development. JA Albania programs help young people experience success in school, in the workplace, and in life.
JA Albania is a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide which is has 156 member countries, and a member of Junior Achievement Europe that has 40 member countries. During 2004/2005 1,7 million trainees were involved in the JA Worldwide Programs.
In a report by the European Commission titled Best Procedure Project in Education and Training for Entrepreneurship, an expert panel concluded that the definition of entrepreneurship education consists of two different elements, “a broader concept of education for entrepreneurial attitudes and skills, which involves developing certain personal qualities and is not directly focused on the creation of new businesses, and the more specific concept of training on how to create a business.” The report cites Junior Achievement-Young Enterprise programs throughout Europe as a “best practice” in enterprise education.
JAA and its partners will help in the education and inspiration of the new generation and a wider public as well, to understand and evaluate the entrepreneurship, business and the free market economy. This will help them to become a working force prepared for the future.
“A partnership with JA is a ‘value exchange’ and our goal is to provide our partners with as much or more value than they provide us.”
Junior Achievement Albania is a non-profitable organization that operates as partner of Junior Achievement and Young Enterprise Europe and JA Worldwide.
