JA programs are helping students to gain an understanding of:
- the importance of market-driven economics
- the role of business in a global economy
- the commitment of business to environmental and social issues
- the commitment of business to operate in an ethical manner
- the relevance of education in the workplace
- the impact of economics on their future.
The three main programs that JAA will start implementing by the beginning of January 2007 are as follows:
The Company Programme is a real business experience over a full academic year. Through the Company Programme you will discover for yourselves how a company functions. You will develop new skills such as working as a team, leadership, making presentations, planning, financial control, taking responsibility and the need for commitment to quality. The Company Programme analyzes and explores personal opportunities and responsibilities within a student-led enterprise.
Students are shareholders in their own company and may sell shares to others to raise funds to start the company. Each company produces a final report and presents the company results to a Shareholders Meeting.
Our Community Programme* is a fun and interactive series of 5 lessons (each of 45-50 minutes) presented by a business volunteer in school to a whole class. Pupils are led through a discovery of how people and businesses operate within a community. They assess the needs and wants of communities and set about taking responsibility for a community they have designed through voting a decision-making activity.
JA Economics for sucess eksploron financat personale, arsimimin e studenteve dhe mundesite e karieres, bazuar ne aftesite, interesat dhe vlerat qe ata perfaqesojne. It also demonstrates the economic benefits of staying in school. With these skills, they will also be able to make informed education, career, and life decisions. Using this knowledge, the students will then be able to apply their knowledge of personal finance to comprehend their needs and wants and make strong financial management decisions regardless of income.
